Digital transformation of CGR: integration, security and sustainability for geospatial data

A funded project to grow, innovate, and compete internationally

The project, carried out thanks to European funds from the Emilia-Romagna Region as part of the PR-FESR 2021-2027 (Action 1.2.3) and the call for proposals “Support for the digital transition of businesses in Emilia-Romagna (Year 2025)”, is part of CGR’s digital transformation process, with the aim of strengthening its operational efficiency, cybersecurity and competitive positioning in its reference markets.

The project involves the adoption of a cloud-based management system, the enhancement of cybersecurity measures and the development of a new institutional website, promoting a more integrated, secure and technology-oriented organisational model.

The project represents a strategic lever for increasing the company’s resilience, ensuring operational continuity and supporting growth in the medium to long term.

Objectives

The main objectives of the project are:

Digitalisation and integration of business processes
Through the acquisition of a cloud-based management system, the project aims to integrate and digitalise key internal processes, improving information management, coordination between business functions and real-time data availability.

Strengthening cybersecurity
The project involves improving the level of cybersecurity by protecting endpoints with an advanced cyber-threat detection solution and implementing activities to identify and verify vulnerabilities, in order to protect company data, reduce the risk of cyber attacks and ensure compliance with the standards required in national and international contexts.

Development and enhancement of digital presence
The development of the new corporate website will improve institutional visibility, accessibility to services and communication with customers and stakeholders, strengthening the company’s positioning also with a view to internationalisation.

Expected results

Through the implementation of this project, CGR expects to achieve:

  • increased operational efficiency and decision-making quality, thanks to integrated and centralised management of company data in a cloud environment;
  • a significant improvement in cybersecurity and business continuity, with reduced vulnerabilities and greater protection of digital infrastructures;
  • greater reliability and reputation of the company among customers, partners and stakeholders, including in relation to participation in tenders and bids;
  • a more structured online presence aligned with the company’s technological positioning, capable of supporting growth and expansion into new markets.

Overall, the project contributes to making CGR a more modern, secure and competitive organisation, ready to face the challenges of digital evolution.
