LiDAR sensors

3D terrain mapping with high-precision laser pulses.

Leica SPL100

LiDAR sensor integrated in the optical sensor

Applications: Environment and land management, Forestry, Urban planning, Surveying and mapping

The Leica SPL100 is a single-photon LiDAR sensor ideal for aerial mapping of large areas. It collects up to 6 million points per second, even under difficult conditions (dense vegetation, fog, clouds), generating high density point clouds (12-30 pt/m²). With its 80 MP RGBN camera and HxMap software, it offers high performance and low cost for applications such as emergency management, forest inventory, flood mapping and environmental monitoring.

Leica TerrainMapper

LiDAR sensor integrated in the optical sensor

Applications: Mineral Extraction, Construction & Infrastructure, Energy, Telecommunications, Insurance, Surveying & Mapping

Leica TerrainMapper is the ideal airborne LiDAR sensor for high-precision regional mapping projects. With a pulse frequency of 2 MHz and an advanced optical system, it acquires data with uniform distribution over wide flight ranges from 300 to 5,500 m AGL, without range gate limits. It supports up to 35 simultaneous in-flight pulses, improving operational efficiency. Integrated with Leica’s HxMap software, it enables complete workflow management: from planning to processing to final product generation.

Leica TerrainMapper-3

LiDAR sensor integrated in the optical sensor

Applications: Mineral Extraction, Construction & Infrastructure, Energy, Telecommunications, Insurance, Surveying & Mapping

The Leica TerrainMapper-3 is an extremely versatile airborne LiDAR sensor designed to cover both large-scale mapping projects and very high-density surveys with a single system. Equipped with an adjustable field of view of up to 60°, it offers operational flexibility in different flight conditions. It integrates simultaneous images in four bands (RGB, NIR) and combines perfectly with the HxMap software, which manages the entire workflow: from mission to final product. Maximum efficiency and precision in a single solution.

Leica CityMapper-2

LiDAR sensor integrated in the optical sensor

Applications: Urban planning, Mineral Extraction, Construction & Infrastructure, Energy, Telecommunications, Insurance, Surveying & Mapping

Leica CityMapper-2 is the ideal hybrid aerial sensor for 3D urban mapping. It combines 2 MHz LiDAR with six 150 MP cameras (2 nadir RGB/NIR, 4 45° oblique) for fast acquisitions every 0.9 seconds. The system provides USGS LiDAR Level 0 data up to 2 km altitude with 3 cm accuracy. The MFC150 optics with mechanical motion compensation (FMC) ensure sharp images even in critical lighting conditions. A single flight generates detailed orthophotos, meshes and 3D models.

RAMMS 2.0

Bathymetric LiDAR sensor integrated with optical sensor

Applications: Environment and land management, Surveying & Mapping

RAMMS 2.0 is the world’s only airborne LiDAR system capable of providing both water column imaging and high-resolution bathymetry, ideal for accurately mapping and monitoring coastal environments. Thanks to dual laser technology and integration with machine learning algorithms, it improves data accuracy and accelerates delivery times. Derived from the success of the first RAMMS, it has already mapped over 50,000 km², reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 80 per cent. Now also operational on autonomous drones.

Leica Chiroptera-5

Bathymetric LiDAR sensor integrated with optical sensor

Applications: Environment and land management, Surveying & Mapping

The Leica Chiroptera-5 is an advanced airborne LiDAR sensor for hydrographic surveys of coastal and inland waters. It offers increased depth penetration, high point density and improved topographic sensitivity. The LSS software enables near real-time processing with automatic calibration and refraction correction. Ideal for coastal monitoring, flood simulations, habitat classification and archaeology, it enables detailed surveys at reduced operational costs.
